Savor it with the best Chardonnay for a refined combination that’s full of flavor!

Origin

Norcia Millefiori Castelluccio honey represents the quality of the Umbrian region. What makes it so special and delicious is that Castelluccio is an unspoiled area where flowers bloom in abundance. Norcia honey is a light golden color, with a pleasantly sweet taste that tends to develop very fine crystalization. Depending on where a beekeeper works and what kind of flowers are nearby, there’s an almost infinite number of ways the honey can be made. This particular variety is typical in the Castelluccio plateau (1459m above sea level within the Monti Sibillini National Park). The honey is collected in the spring, after the bees have visited the full range of flowers from spontaneous vegetation and the famous local lentils. Thanks to its spectacularly high quality, it has earned the title of “Great Italian Honey.”

Cookit

Norcia millefiori Castelluccio honey has a delicate sweetness, which makes it ideal on fresh sheep’s milk ricotta, taleggio, fontina or gorgonzola cheese, and sprinkled with chopped walnuts. It’s also excellent as part of a marinade for grilled meat, mixed with curry and balsamic vinegar. However, it’s very often used at breakfast or snack time on crackers or toast, or as a sweetener for coffee.
