Origin

Cinnamon is a golden brown spice, famous for its unmistakeable zesty aroma with slightly sweet undertones that can enrich desserts and drinks. Cinnamon can only be grown in Asia since it needs tropical temperatures and high humidity. There are 2 varieties: the more sought-after one comes from Sri Lanka and is known for being delicate enough to crumble with your hands; and the variety from China which has a brighter red color and a more mild flavor.
